A branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc (SCA), the Shire of Cragmere meets often to learn, to teach, and to enjoy each other's company within the framework of the society's goal: to revive some of the better aspects of the European Middle Ages and early Renaissance. Shire Activities
Socials and Council MeetingsCall the Seneschal (Doireann) for details: 923-9102 or email Dori. All are welcome to our Socials. Generally held in garb, a potluck, and with activities similar to what might be found at larger events, focused more on socializing. Site is Halbe Hall in Black Creek on the old Island Highway, south of Campbell River and north of Courtenay. Council meetings begin at 3:00 p.m. and all are welcome; there is no charge for council meetings only. Socials begin at 4:30 p.m. following the council meeting. All Socials are $5.00 for adults; children under 16 are free. If you have more info about the Social you are Sponsoring, please post it in so HL Halima can put it up on the Cragmere page. Remember the ingredients list for the Potluck! Remember to bring any serving and preparation equipment required for your potluck contribution. And if you bring something Period within the Theme we are studying, please bring the recipe. |
Fighters PracticeWe have Archery, Heavy-armour, and Rapier (fencing) practices. Contact our Master of Stables Muirgen for details on any of the combat arts. |

Council Meeting MinutesCouncil is generally held the first Sunday of the month, just before the Social (see above section on Socials). Everyone is welcome! No garb (period clothing) is required for attending the Council meeting only. Call the Seneschal for details: 923-9102, or email.
