Cragmere Council Minutes
May 4, 2005
Attended by Zoe, Thomas, Meredith, Juye/Calibrid, Halima, Anicia, Aleyn (Stuart), Ulric, Cera (Lisa), Morel, Asa, Isadora (Cheridy), Charles.
7:35 meeting was called to order by Halima.
Minutes of last meeting were gone over.
Arising from last month's minutes:
Rhys will let us know what he needs to re-finish our Shire's Everything Box: brush fr Zoe; achievement design fr Morel; paint fr Morel.
Officer's Reports:
A&S: meetings are well attended, we've returned to goal-oriented A&S nights.
: Zoe's Silk Embroidery Challenge is being accepted by Ravensley; they scooped a large number of silk sample pieces, when offered; Viewing of finished projects will be at this Fall's Ithra.
Heraldry: our "Bloody Swan" badge passed.
: Heraldry symposium will be held in Seagirt; Halima will be teaching "Graphing Heraldry" to work out your device on a cross-stitch grid.
: Charles' device has gone to Laurel Level.
: Morel's device passed.
Exchequer: bank acct has $1,100.
Halima wants Cragmere to consider getting a Branch NSCA membership - it would cover the group a little better; then we would report to the Canadian government; Halima will get the info ready.
Chatelaine: Meredith wants more promo materials, contact cards and brochures. Some new people are coming in. Will do more after the move.
Gold Key: vacant office
Signs: we need 4 extra-long carriage bolts to handle certain sign posts; Nik to get them and bring in the receipt.
Chronicler: this office will soon be available; deputy has been away taking a sewing course. Members were encouraged to submit articles: interviews, newcomer info, movie reviews, artwork, scribbles.
Operational Guidelines: note that we should re-visit the notes from September's meeting
May Event: Nik will do signage from South, and will help with Voice Heraldry.
We haven't spoken to HL Cinara (Kingdom A&S) about having her attend our Ithra in the Fall, not at the May event.

June 11, 12, King and Queen will attend Sealion War. WRITE your letters of recommendation (for awards) and send copies to: Kjartan, Baron and Baroness Seagirt, and King and Queen.
June 18-19th Upper Island Event
Contests - False Isle was to have taken care of the Arts Competition.
Meredith: Scrolls - we have room for displaying 2 scrolls, for our shire; name & date empty. Bardic is open.
MoS: deputy is taking care of fight practices on Saturday, noon at Cumberland Elementary.
Waterbearing is needed for May and June events; suggest carrying water -to- people.
Note that HE James is in the hospital due to a heart attack; donation taken up; Linda to get flowers to him.
